In one of the biggest moves of the college basketball offseason, the Tennessee Volunteers have officially landed Jaylen Moore, the electrifying guard from Oakland University, in a blockbuster transfer deal that instantly boosts the Vols’ national title hopes.
Moore, a 6-foot-1 senior who became a household name during Oakland’s thrilling March Madness run, averaged 19.2 points, 5.1 assists, and 1.8 steals per game last season. His fearless scoring ability and high basketball IQ turned heads across the country, and now he’s bringing that firepower to Knoxville.
“I’ve loved every minute at Oakland, but I’m ready for the next challenge,” Moore said in a statement. “Tennessee gives me a chance to play on the biggest stage and chase a championship.”
Rick Barnes, known for developing elite guards, was quick to praise his new floor general.
