SIGIFICANT BOOST: GIANTS JOE SCHOEN SECURE KEY QB SOLUTION AS RODGERS AND WILSON DEALS FALL THROUGH

The New York Giants are making headlines today as they look to secure their quarterback of the future, even if deals with Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson fall through. While both veterans have been heavily linked to the team, it seems increasingly unlikely that either will land in New York.

Rodgers is reportedly waiting for an offer from the Minnesota Vikings, while Wilson has met with the Cleveland Browns and could potentially re-sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers if they miss out on Rodgers. With both high-profile quarterbacks potentially out of the picture, the Giants are turning their attention elsewhere.

In a bold new prediction, Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders is now in the spotlight as a possible QB solution for New York. James Foster of The 33rd Team has forecasted that the Giants will use their No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to select Sanders if they fail to land Rodgers or Wilson.

“If the Giants didn’t have such a desperate need at quarterback, I could see Sanders falling. But Joe Schoen needs to secure an answer at the position, or he won’t make it to next offseason,” Foster said.

Sanders, the star quarterback for Colorado, had a standout 2024 season with 4,134 passing yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions, plus four rushing touchdowns. Despite some concerns about his pocket presence and physical traits, Sanders’ pinpoint accuracy and overall skill make him a top prospect.

With Rodgers and Wilson seemingly slipping through their fingers, the Giants are looking to make a bold move and secure their future at the most important position on the field.
