Teenage Sprinter Quincy Wilson Reveals Unfortunate Development After Winning Gold
With his gold medal, the 16-year-old became the youngest male track and field competitor in history.
Even though Quincy Wilson is old enough to earn an Olympic gold medal in Paris, some social media users seem to think he is still too young.
The 16-year-old sprinter created history in Paris by winning the gold medal in track and field at the youngest age ever. Running the first leg of the first round, he took part in the 4×400 meter team that won the medal. Wilson did not partake in the final, but he was nevertheless awarded a gold medal after the American team defeated Botswana, the runner-up team.
Wilson carried some gear back to America, but he still felt the affects of his youth. The teenager revealed on X that, because of his age, he had trouble signing up for TikTok.
“Tiktok tried to ban me because they said I was too young,” he posted to X.
Wilson felt quite at home with his fellow sprinters at the Olympics in Paris, even though he might have to wait to use the social media network. During the Summer Games, teammate Vernon Norwood pulled the lad aside to give him a message and offer some encouragement.
