Michigan Football Recruiting: Wolverines Trending to Land Top 100 WR

After obtaining the commitment of four-star Texas cornerback Jayden Sanders, Michigan football recruiting has gained some momentum. Sanders was a great addition in a time of need. Since the Wolverines are strong favorites to land an outstanding prospect at wide receiver, another position of need, Michigan’s momentum should only get stronger.

Top 100 On August 20, Texas wide receiver Andrew Marsh is scheduled to make his pledge public. Marsh is debating between Michigan, USC, Texas, Washington, and Colorado. Marsh is currently favored by Michigan football, and he recently returned from an Ann Arbor visit for the Big House Barbeque.

This summer, Ron Bellamy has given Marsh the highest emphasis in the wide receiver room, and Marsh has reacted admirably, making repeated trips to Michigan.

The Wolverines would be extremely fortunate to snag the top-100 wideout, considering wide receiver recruiting was traditionally difficult under Jim Harbaugh (except for the 2017 class). Landing elite wide receivers is extremely difficult, especially in the NIL era. For Ron Bellamy and Michigan, this would be a major victory.

It would be surprising as of right now, if Marsh chose a university other than Michigan. Getting him in for a visit at the end of July should be the cherry on top for the Wolverines, as all the signals point to them. There is no such thing as a guarantee in the NIL era. It would be difficult to refuse an extremely alluring offer of money from a team in desperate need of a top receiver.

However, the Wolverines are trying to make sure that prospects are taken care of and have grown more competitive in that area. Marsh seems to be truly fond of Michigan. This is shaping up to be a huge victory for Michigan football, even though the in-state Longhorns are still a formidable opponent for a Texas recruit.
