Novak Djokovic makes strong statement by following Cristiano Ronaldo act at Olympics 2024
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic made a bold statement at the Olympics 2024 in Paris, exactly like Cristiano Ronaldo did a few years ago. Both athletes who have achieved so much in their respective sports are known for their supreme fitness and approaches to nutrition.
Djokovic, who is now in the Olympics, was attending a press conference where he spotted the presence of cola bottles. While some preferred to let the cans remain, the 37-year-old decided to move them out in an attempt to curb the advertising of harmful drinks.

This reminded numerous followers of something that the Portuguese icon had done back in 2021. The incident took occurred when the 39-year-old Al-Nassr striker arrived at a press conference during the European Championships that year.
Before his side faced Hungary in their opener of that competition, Ronaldo spotted the presence of Coca-Cola bottles put in front of him at the presser. Noticing this, he instantly moved them out of the frame of the camera and did not want to be linked with promoting the company’s drinks.
He then raised a bottle of water and asked anyone listening to imbibe the natural liquid instead of cola. Ronaldo continues to struggle on even at the age of 39, a monument to his amazing fitness.
Currently, the former Manchester United player is preparing for the start of the new Saudi Pro League season with Al-Nassr. They play their debut league game against Al-Raed on August 22.

Novak Djokovic has obviously emulated Cristiano Ronaldo even before his dramatic speech at the Olympic Games. In March earlier this year, the Serbian was in action at the 2024 BNP Paribas Open, when he engaged in a game of football along with other tennis players.
After hitting a goal around Stefanos Tsitsipas’ leg, Djokovic opted to pull out the Portugal international’s famed Siuuu celebration. Ronaldo has become synonymous with this move, and has other top-level athletes performing the celebration throughout sports.
