One of the most dominant and charismatic players of his era, Dwight Howard has officially been inducted into the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame. Known for his powerful presence on the court and fun-loving personality, Howard was a fan favorite during his time with multiple teams—including the Houston Rockets from 2013 to 2016.

Howard joined the Rockets as a former No. 1 overall pick and made an immediate impact, averaging 18.3 points and 12.2 rebounds per game in his first season. Alongside James Harden, he formed one of the league’s most exciting duos, helping Houston stay competitive in the Western Conference. However, their partnership eventually soured, leading to internal tensions.

Reflecting on their time together, Howard joked, “I thought me and James were gonna work because I felt like he was a younger Kobe with better passing… But I did like playing with James for those first couple of years. Then, after that, I was like, ‘Dang, this dude don’t pass me the ball no more! What did I do to him?’”

Despite the ups and downs, Howard’s legacy in the NBA is undeniable. A three-time Defensive Player of the Year, eight-time All-Star, and eight-time All-NBA selection, he is widely regarded as one of the best defensive big men in basketball history. With his Hall of Fame career now recognized in Orlando, the next stop for Howard could very well be the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame, where he will take his rightful place among the game’s legends.
