BREAKING NEWS: Indiana Hoosiers Strengthen Future Roster with Key Tight End Commitment to Bolster Offensive Depth and Playmaking Ability

Indiana football has bolstered its future roster with a major addition, as three-star tight end PJ MacFarlane has officially committed to the Hoosiers. The highly sought-after Lakota East (Ohio) prospect made his decision following a successful visit to Bloomington, solidifying Indiana as his college destination.

MacFarlane, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound standout, had offers from multiple Power Five programs, including Michigan State, Notre Dame, Illinois, and Minnesota. However, after months of recruitment, Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti and his staff secured the commitment of the dynamic playmaker.

During his junior season, MacFarlane showcased his talent with 40 receptions for 586 yards and eight touchdowns, proving himself as a top-tier tight end prospect. Ranked 27th in Ohio and 43rd nationally at his position by 247Sports, he brings size, athleticism, and versatility to Indiana’s offense.

With the departure of Zach Horton and a depth chart featuring senior transfers Holden Staes (Tennessee) and Riley Nowakowski (Wisconsin), MacFarlane’s commitment provides a much-needed future anchor at the position.

Indiana fans can now look forward to seeing MacFarlane in cream and crimson, as he prepares to make an impact for the Hoosiers in the 2026 season and beyond.
