The Seattle Seahawks have made key roster moves by signing veteran wide receiver River Cracraft and re-signing linebacker Josh Ross, the team announced on Friday. These additions come as Seattle looks to reinforce its depth and experience ahead of the 2025 season.
Cracraft, 30, brings seven years of NFL experience, having previously played for the Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers, and Miami Dolphins. The former Washington State standout has appeared in 53 career games, recording 32 receptions for 374 yards and three touchdowns. He also has experience as a kick and punt returner, though he has not handled return duties since the 2020 season.
Ross, 25, returns to Seattle after playing in 10 games last season, primarily on special teams. The former Michigan linebacker was claimed off waivers from the Baltimore Ravens midseason, logging 176 special teams snaps and recording four tackles. Initially left unsigned as an exclusive rights free agent, Ross has now been brought back to bolster Seattle’s special teams unit.
These signings reflect the Seahawks’ ongoing efforts to refine their roster as they prepare for the upcoming season. With these moves, Seattle aims to enhance both its receiving corps and special teams depth.
