MEGA SUCCESS: Former Wildcat Dontaie Allen Recruiting Wyoming’s Top Transfer to Kentucky

Former Kentucky Wildcats guard Dontaie Allen, now playing at Wyoming, is making efforts to recruit his current teammate, Obi Agbim, to Lexington.

Agbim recently entered the transfer portal after an outstanding season with the Cowboys, drawing interest from several top programs. Allen took to Instagram to share a GIF of himself in a Kentucky jersey, followed by a heart emoji and the phrase “La Familia,” signaling his hope for Agbim to join the Wildcats.

Agbim impressed at Wyoming, averaging 17.6 points per game while shooting 46.9% from the field and 43.7% from three-point range. The 6-foot-3 guard also contributed 3.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game, making him a highly sought-after player in the portal.

A skilled sharpshooter, Agbim attempted six threes per game and connected at an elite clip, making him a valuable asset for any team looking to bolster its perimeter scoring.

Allen, who spent three seasons at Kentucky from 2019-22, remains deeply connected to the program and sees Agbim as a great fit for head coach Mark Pope’s offensive system, which emphasizes floor spacing and high-volume shooting.

Allen’s recruiting efforts reflect his continued passion for the Wildcats, and whoever lands Agbim will gain a dynamic scorer capable of making an immediate impact.
