GLENDALE, Ariz. – The Chicago White Sox have officially confirmed the signing of outfielder Travis Jankowski to a minor league contract, adding depth to their outfield for the upcoming 2025 season. The move comes after Jankowski opted out of his previous minor league deal with the Chicago Cubs, making him available for the White Sox.
Jankowski, 33, brings a wealth of experience to the White Sox, having played for multiple teams across 10 MLB seasons, including San Diego, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, the New York Mets, Seattle, and Texas. He was part of the Rangers’ World Series-winning team in 2023 and showed solid defensive skills and versatility during their playoff run.

In spring training, Jankowski posted a .231 average with three RBIs in 13 at-bats with the Cubs before being reassigned to minor league camp. His career .236 batting average, along with 11 home runs and 96 RBIs, highlights his ability to contribute both offensively and defensively.
The White Sox are excited about Jankowski’s potential to add valuable depth and leadership to their roster as they gear up for the 2025 season. Fans can expect him to compete for a spot and provide added experience as the team aims for a successful year.
