Breaking News: Dolphins to land Christian Wilkins replacement in star 9-sack DL

The Miami Dolphins had to watch one of their top defensive stars walk out the door earlier this year. Christian Wilkins, Miami’s former first round pick in 2019, left for the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency. Wilkins established himself as one of the league’s top defensive linemen in his five years with the Dolphins, totaling 20.5 sacks and 43 tackles for a loss in that span.
Wilkins’ absence has been evident and Miami needs to address the position this offseason. They more than likely aren’t landing a top-tier talent in free agency, as they only have $4 million in cap space for 2025 as of right now.

Miami turns their attention towards the draft in Chris Trapasso’s recent mock, selecting Michigan star Mason Graham with the No.12 overall pick.

The Dolphins add a youthful, three-down disruptor on the interior to fill the void from Christian Wilkins leaving in free agency last year. Graham has looked like a first-round pick for a while at Michigan. Ferocious, high-motor, highly skilled defensive tackle.

Graham is the undisputed top defensive tackle in this draft class after three dominant years with the Wolverines. He totaled 108 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss and nine sacks in that span. He’d certainly fill the Wilkins-sized void in Miami’s defense.
