Sinner and Kalinskaya became a couple earlier this year and were often spotted cheering for one another during matches. Notably, the Russian was in the Italian’s box when he won the US Open in September.
In a recent interview with Esquire UK, the World No. 1 was asked what Kalinskaya added to his life. Sinner responded by saying that nothing in his life changed, while also adding that having a girlfriend was something that could make one feel either good or bad.
“I don’t think anything has changed. Having a girlfriend is something that either makes you feel good or makes you feel bad. I want it to be something that feels very natural, which comes into my life normally. I can’t afford to change as a player or as a person. That hasn’t happened, that’s why it works,” Sinner said.
Sinner’s comments saw him receive some backlash from fans.
As of now, Anna Kalinskaya has reportedly unfollowed the 23-year-old on Instagram.

On the tennis side of things, Anna Kalinskaya’s 2024 season came to an end after a quarterfinal exit at the Ningbo Open. The Russian produced some impressive performances that helped her enter the Top 15 of the WTA rankings for the first time in her career. She reached the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships and the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
As for Jannik Sinner, he has enjoyed an impressive year, winning two Grand Slams, and is currently competing at the ATP Finals in Turin. The Italian is in a strong position to reach the semifinals, as he has won his first two round-robin fixtures.
Sinner started his campaign at the year-end championships with a 6-3, 6-4 win over seventh seed Alex de Minaur before beating Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-4 in a rematch of the US Open final. The 23-year-old will play his final round-robin match against Daniil Medvedev.
It will be the 14th meeting between the two, with their head-to-head currently tied at 7-7.
