Kelsey Plum is ready to put a difficult offseason behind her and focus purely on basketball for the Las Vegas Aces after her divorce from husband Darren Waller. The 29-year-old Plum was married to Waller, the New York Giants tight end, for a year but the couple shocked fans by announcing at the end of April that they were breaking up. Now, speaking to KWU-TV, Plum opened up on her difficulties off the court. ‘The offseason’s been tough for me,’ she said. ‘I’m sure, everyone knows, it’s pretty public, but for me, I’m super grateful.
‘I think my faith has grown tremendously. Plum begins her new season for the Aces next Tuesday against Phoenix Mercury and underlined her anticipation to get back to what she loves. ‘I’m excited about this season, I’m excited about Las Vegas, try to run it back again,’ Plum, the first pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft, added to KWU-TV. ‘I know that our fans are with us, I know that this organization is with us, I know that our team is as tight as we’ve ever been and so we really embody the Aces vs everybody.’
