Angel Reese, a rookie forward for the Chicago Sky, was halfway into her historic rookie season when she received the news on Saturday that it would end early.
Reese announced on Twitter that she would miss the remainder of the season due to a wrist injury. This announcement also marked an unexpected conclusion to the thrilling race for Rookie of the Year between Reese and Indiana Fever player Caitlin Clark.
Regarding Reese’s injury, Clark was questioned on Sunday. Clark also detested seeing Reese’s season stop due to injury, despite their intense on-court rivalry that was fueled by story. During her press appearance on Sunday, Clark gave Reese some words of support.
