Zurich Diamond League 2024: When and How to watch Sha’Carri Richardson in live action at Weltklasse Zurich
Sha’Carri Richardson, the silver medallist in the women’s 100m at the Olympics, will be competing in track and field this week for the first time since Paris 2024 when she goes in the 100m at the Weltklasse Zurich Diamond League competition on Thursday, September 5.
In the Swiss city, Richardson competes against Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith, Olympic champion Julien Alfred, and fellow finalists Darrell Neita, Mujinga Kambundji, and Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith.
This will be the American athlete’s second Diamond League 100-meter race of the year; in May, he won the Prefontaine Classic at home. Richardson will go to the Diamond League Final in Brussels, Belgium, the following weekend provided he puts up another excellent performance here.
The reigning world champion Richardson set a season’s best of 10.71 at the U.S. Olympic Trials in June, and she is now placed second in the world in the World Athletics women’s 100m rankings. In her career, she has won four Diamond League events in the 100- and 200-meter events, and in Zurich, she will be going for her fifth victory.
