Davis Warren is a 6-foot-2 senior quarterback for the University of Michigan who is competing with Alex Orji for the top quarterback spot in Ann Arbor.

With less than a week remaining until Michigan’s opener this Saturday against the Fresno State Bulldogs at the Big House in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Wolverines Coach Sherrone Moore shared his thoughts on Warren’s development as a quarterback with WXYZ-7 Detroit reporter Brad Galli.

Moore refused to name Michigan football’s starting quarterback for Week 1 against the Bulldogs, but he did share insight into Warren’s competition with Orji for the number one spot and what Warren brings to the table.

“Davis Warren, man, he’s so good,” Moore said to Galli on Monday. “He’s always been able to throw the ball, but it’s been about taking care of the football in the right way and he’s done that throughout camp.

“He’s just, every practice he makes a play, you’re like, kind of a ‘Wow’ play, some of the plays that JJ (McCarthy) would make and you’re just like, ‘Man, that’s another good play, that’s another good play, that’s another good play.”
