The LSU Tigers continue pushing for an in-state safety, turning up the heat this fall.
Even after offering the four-star defensive back a scholarship, it’s evident that the program is still looking for additional secondary talent for the 2025 cycle.
Early in June, Bradford—a highly sought-after safety with numerous Power Four offers—announced his commitment to the Houston Cougars after Willie Fritz and his staff managed to sign one of The Boot’s best players.
Bradford said, “Coach Fritz has been recruiting me since his time at Tulane,” to the Rivals. “I have faith in this staff and their principles. Great coach, Coach Fritz knows how to get the most out of his players and staff.”
Throughout the summer, he recorded a 4.4 40-yard sprint, showcasing his explosiveness and twitchiness.
The 6-foot, 195-pound player, who has grown in popularity on the recruiting path, received an offer from the Tigers, who are now involved in the action thanks to Brian Kelly.
Billy Embody, a recruiting analyst for On3 Sports, posted a prediction on Monday suggesting that Bradford will abandon his pledge to Houston and enroll at LSU.
After starring for his Catholic (La.) team alongside his brother, Blaine Bradford, he has blossomed as a national contender.
[Blaine] In the 2026 cycle, Bradford has developed into one of America’s Top 10 prospects. In the upcoming junior class, he is ranked as the top safety and has drawn several Division 1 offers.
Notre Dame, LSU, Texas, and Alabama are among the schools vying for his attention, and the Tigers are trying to recruit him.
Since last month, LSU has extended scholarship offers to the Bradford Bros. in an effort to retain the Bayou State standouts for their college careers.
