Numerous LSU athletes have inked rich non-incentive contracts (NILs), and one of the top players from their 2025 recruiting class has already done so.

LSU commits a running back to St. Martin’s Episcopal in Metairie’s Harlem Berry, a highly regarded recruit, committed to the Tigers in January and is currently projected by Rivals to make over six figures in salary over the next four years.

Although the public hasn’t been given access to all of the NIL agreement’s specifics, people with direct knowledge of the matter feel that Berry’s arrangement is “market-setting” for running backs.

Berry is one of the best running back recruits in the country; he was rated as a four-star at 247 Sports and a five-star at Rivals. ABX Elite Sports Management is Berry’s agent.

Berry, who will soon start his senior year at St. Martin’s, has contributed as a receiver, on defense, and on special teams in addition to running for over 2,000 yards each of the last three seasons.

With 2,481 scrimmage yards and 47 touchdowns from offense, defense, and special teams combined in the previous season, Berry is expected to be a factor in all three areas once more in 2024.

Berry has demonstrated his exceptional skills at camps this offseason, including his hands and speed, and he has maintained his status as the state of Louisiana’s top-2025 recruit.

Local talent abounds in LSU’s 2025 recruiting class: Phillip Wright III and Jhase Thomas from Destrehan, Taron Francis from Karr, and Brett Bordelon from Newman have all committed to the Tigers.
