5-star LSU commits to visit Florida for Week 1 matchup against Miami

He is supposedly on his way to Gainesville this Saturday to watch Florida play Miami in the season opener. It appears, though, that Tigers supporters need not be alarmed by this. Shea Dixon of On3 reports that Pickett will witness his cousin, Booker Pickett Jr., make his official rookie debut with the Hurricanes.

Pickett was “1,000 percent committed” to LSU, according to his father, and he planned to visit Tiger Stadium multiple times in the near future. According to Steve Wiltfong of On3, he plans to make three trips to Baton Rouge.

With a national ranking of third, Pickett is the second-highest-rated commit in LSU’s 2025 class. Along with quarterback Bryce Underwood, the cycle’s top prospect overall, he is one of two commits ranked in the top 10.
