‘It broke my heart’ – Jannik Sinner says he regrets missing Paris Olympics 2024

Tennis player Jannik Sinner, from Italy, has expressed his displeasure at not being able to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The 22-year-old also disclosed that one of his primary goals for the current campaign is to play in Paris.

Due to fitness concerns, Jannik Sinner, who was ranked first for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris over Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, withdrew from the competition. Tonsillitis forced him to withdraw from the competition. He likewise withdrew from the Bastad Open prior to the Olympics citing exhaustion.

The Italian tennis player has expressed his displeasure at not being able to attend the Olympics. “I watched a little bit of the Olympics, but not a lot of tennis,” he stated. One of my main season goals was to go to the Games, therefore it hurt my heart not to be able to do so.

In addition, he praised his fellow countryman Lorenzo Musetti, who has been playing well since the Wimbledon Championships. Musetti defeated American Taylor Swift in five sets, en route to the semifinals at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

But after losing to Novak Djokovic in the round of sixteen, his adventure came to an end. Lorenzo Musetti defeated Mariano Navone, Gael Monfils, Taylor Fritz, and Alexander, the reigning champion, to get to the Paris Olympics 2024 semifinals. The Belgian duo of Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen will be up against Draper and Sinner. In 2024, Jannik Sinner won four titles: the Miami Open, the Australian Open, the ATP Rotterdam, and the Halle Open.
