Breaking News: Just Now, a 4 star and versatile DB commits to Florida Gator.

The Florida Gators have secured another commitment for 2026 as Devin Jackson, a 4-star safety from Orlando’s First Academy, announced his decision on Wednesday evening.

Last fall, Gators Online predicted Jackson would choose Florida after he attended nearly every home game. He has also made several visits in 2024, including one just this afternoon and last Saturday’s cookout.

Jackson planned to decide before the upcoming season, and despite interest from other programs, Florida has been his top choice for nearly a year, sealing the deal this week.

“They show a lot of love when I come up there and I’m wanted up there,” Jackson told Gators Online. “I’m up there a lot, so I know the facilities too. It feels like home all around.

“I talk to (secondary coach) Will Harris, Billy Napier, and also the new (assistant) DBs coach (Beyah Rasool) the most. We talk pretty often. I don’t want to say every day, but every other day.”

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, which uses a weighted average from the four major recruiting media companies, Jackson is ranked as the No. 27 safety and No. 323 prospect overall.
