Angel Reese Names The Greatest WNBA Player Of All-Time
Following her incredible performance against the Seattle Storm on Sunday, Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese earned a ton of headlines. The Sky ultimately fell short, losing 84-71, but the setback was not nearly as significant as another remarkable accomplishment for the 22-year-old.
On Sunday, Reese recorded her 13th consecutive double-double, scoring 17 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. The Sky forward did it by shattering the previous WNBA record for the most straight double-doubles.
Before she was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the near future, Candace Parker set this amazing record back in 2010.
Reese, for her part, was all praise for Parker during the former’s post-game interview. Reese actually had the highest regard for the Chicago icon:
Reese proclaimed, “She’s the GOAT” (h/t espnw on Instagram). “Just being able to be named with an amazing player like that is just always going to be special to me.”
Despite having spent only two seasons with the Sky in the latter portion of her illustrious career, Parker will always have a particular place in the hearts of Chicagoans everywhere.
