With the dedication of IMG Academy’s 2024 offensive line class, Georgia has increased the size of an already enormous class.

On Monday, Jackson chose Georgia over Florida and Arkansas.

The 6-foot-11, 330-pound tackle plans to join the Bulldogs as soon as possible. He’s about to begin classes.

“What makes UGA? I mean, I was totally smitten with the coaches. I developed feelings for the school. When I arrived, the players were kind,” Jackson wrote on Instagram in his announcement post. “In the end of the day, I’m still in Georgia. That was crucial to my ability to remain in Georgia. As soon as I arrived, I had the distinct impression that I was home. The coaches were all really nice.

Jackson made his debut shortly after attempting to enter the NBA Draft. He was a student at the Atlanta-based basketball program Overtime Elite. Jackson chose to sign with OTE after high school despite being a three-star talent out of IMG Academy. He was a teammate of recently signed youngster Bronny James of the Los Angeles Lakers when playing at OTE, where he won multiple titles.

Jackson made the decision to attempt football, which he hadn’t played in a while, as an alternative.

Jackson began working out at Miami last month, and his recruiting soared. Jackson made his official visit to Georgia from June 21–23, and after speaking with Kirby Smart in particular, he felt completely at ease.

“You know, he has these documents that are laminated. “They possess the entire roster of individuals selected in the previous year,” Jackson clarified. “All the players that got drafted from Georgia are in red.”

The massive lineman will play football for the first time since the eighth grade after committing to the Bulldogs. Jackson will require a year to mature before playing offensive tackle for Georgia.

Jackson would eclipse 6-foot-9 offensive lineman Bernard Williams, who played at Georgia from 1990 to 1993, to become the tallest Bulldog signee in program history.
