Jannik Sinner is all smiles as he cheers on girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya at Wimbledon – with tennis’ new ‘power couple’ both making it through to round two
Jannik Sinner was in the stands to support his girlfriend, Anna Kalinskaya, during her first-round match at Wimbledon.
World No. 1 Sinner, who triumphed over German Yannick Hanfmann in four sets on Monday, made his relationship with Kalinskaya public in May.
Kalinskaya, ranked 17th globally, was visibly pleased to see Sinner, who was spotted smiling with his hood up as he watched. Her day improved further as she defeated Hungarian Panna Udvardy in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, advancing to the second round.
Kalinskaya, 25, had previously dated Australian Nick Kyrgios, who is now commentating for the BBC at Wimbledon.
Sinner and Kalinskaya, now considered tennis’s new “power couple,” have been together since April 2024. They have frequently supported each other at matches, with Kalinskaya also present for Sinner’s match against Hanfmann.
Speaking during the French Open in May, Sinner confirmed their relationship but emphasized their preference for privacy. Kalinskaya has also been discreet about their romance, although she mentioned their relationship at the Berlin Open last month.
Meanwhile, Sinner, who has earned $5.5 million in prize money in 2024, won his first Grand Slam at the Australian Open in January. He is expected to be a strong contender for the Wimbledon title, aiming to improve on his previous best performance of reaching the semi-finals last year, where he lost to Novak Djokovic.
Katie Boulter, the current British No. 1 in women’s singles, has been dating Australian Alex de Minaur since 2021. Ukrainian Elina Svitolina has been married to fellow pro Gael Monfils since 2021, and they had their first child, Skaï, in 2022.
