The Chicago Sky might well be cooking up the best young tandem in the WNBA. Though it’s still early days, Angel Reeseand Kamilla Cardoso are showing major potential to become one of the most powerful frontcourts in the league.
Cardoso, after being sidelined with a shoulder injury at the start of the season, has only played four games thus far. However, her performance is already on an increasing track. After scoring 11 points in her rookie debut against the Indiana Fever, she had a quiet couple of games with just three points combined. But Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Dream was a different story.

Reese didn’t hold back her excitement when talking about their future. “She runs the floor pretty well. At 6’7, to be able to watch a post-player run that we’ll… She collects passes, she makes baskets around the basket incredibly fluidly… Our partnership is something that is going to be here for a while and here to stay and I’m excited for our progress,” Reese remarked via Chicago Sky PR.
