Multiple sources state that Nico Collins, a top wide receiver for the Houston Texans, has signed a contract worth $72 million over three years.
Collins’ strong rapport with rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud allowed him to have a breakthrough season in 2023.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic broke the story first. According to additional reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the contract is guaranteed for $52 million of its maximum value of $75 million.
With 1,297 yards from 80 catches and eight touchdowns last season, Collins became the fourth pass receiver in franchise history to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards.
With that accolade, he became a receiver alongside Brandin Cooks, DeAndre Hopkins, and Andre Johnson.

Despite choosing to forego his last year of college because to the Covid-19 outbreak, Collins—a unanimous four-star receiver out of high school—racked up 1,388 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns in his time as a Wolverine.
Collins caught 70 passes for 446 yards and 481 yards in his first two NFL seasons, respectively, and scored three touchdowns overall.
It is quite remarkable to witness that increase to 80 catches, 1,297 yards, and eight touchdowns the next season.
The wide receiver for the Texans caught eleven catches for 164 yards and a touchdown in the postseason.
