The Golden State Warriors are reportedly interested in Milwaukee Bucks starter Malik Beasley early on, according to Kelly Iko of The Athletic. This is the precise passage from Iko’s article.
“League sources claimed that Houston has expressed interest in veteran sharpshooter Malik Beasley and has privately and publicly identified floor spacing and shooting as areas of need this offseason. Beasley played in Milwaukee last season, starting 77 games and registering a 41.3 percent 3-point shooting percentage. Orlando and Golden State are also showing early interest in him.”
The Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets would also be in the running for Beasley, along with the Warriors. To be honest, the Warriors have enough three-point shooters, even though Beasley is an excellent one. In fact, the Warriors could use more youth, size, and defense—defense isn’t exactly Beasley’s strong suit.
Mallik Beasley scored 11.3 points, pulled down 3.7 rebounds, and disheveled 1.4 assists on 44/41/71 shooting this season. He shot 51/44 from the field with an average of 8.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.7 assists during the playoffs.
If this early rumor indicates anything, it’s that during the offseason, the Golden State Warriors name will be included in a lot of publications.
